Tomás Urquieta (Chile, based in Brooklyn, New York) is an electronic music composer, producer, and live performer working across techno, low‐frequency music, and experimental sound practices. His work examines rhythm as a physical and architectural force, navigating Latin American rhythmic structures, industrial textures, and the psychoacoustics of collective listening environments.
Across DJ and live formats he integrates real‐time manipulation, structural recomposition, and dynamic control of low‐frequency energy, treating the club as a site of sonic experimentation where frequency acts directly on bodies and space. His practice increasingly expands toward environmental listening, exploring how natural systems can shape compositional structures and how technological listening devices mediate our perception of non‐human environments.
